Position reports to:

Training & Rescue Coordinator

The ATP is seeking a suitable Project Assistant in Vietnam.

Scope of work

The position of Project Assistant is to support ATP’s activities at Turtle Conservation Centre at Cuc Phuong National Park. The Project Assistant will work directly and under the guidance and supervision of Training and rescue coordinator to provide assistance to the management team regarding daily activities at the Turtle Conservation Center in Cuc Phuong National Park.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist management of volunteer program, including provide assistance on logistic, translation and work assignment for volunteers at the TCC
  • Assist data collection, completion of monthly work plan and receipts to be submitted each month
  • Assist VIC gift shop sale and stocking of merchandises
  • Assist coordinating on rescue and release of animals
  • Assist organizing activities and implementation at TCC
  • Involve in education and awareness components development and implementation at the TCC VIC area as well as VIP tour
  • Take photographs, videos of turtles and activities at TCC, draft the post to go on ATP/TCC social media channels and website
  • Provide support to administrative work including translation documents into English and Vietnamese
  • Provide a daily report to the line manager
  • Others as required

Selection criteria:

Essential

  • Must be Vietnamese
  • Passionate about animals, wildlife conservation, stand for animal welfare
  • University Degree in forestry, biology, ecology or related fields
  • Have at least 1 year experience working in the related area
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Positive attitude to working with local staffs, international and national volunteers, and the park officers
  • Good English speaking and writing skills
  • Competent in computers (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email…)

  • Flexibility and a sense of humour – ability to work, live and thrive in challenging circumstances;
  • Have a high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness;
  • Be both self-confident and humble;
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and fun environment
